Senior Manager, ISMS Consulting and Audits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Lead consulting initiatives within the realm of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).

• Independently design, manage, and enhance ISMS in line with ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, B3S, KRITIS, NIS2, and/or TISAX standards.

• Perform Cyber Risk Assessments.

• Create and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and security awareness programs.

• Generate security analyses for IT and cybersecurity-related projects.

• Prepare and execute assessments, audits, and reviews concerning ISMS, ISO 27001, NIS2, KRITIS, DORA, BSI IT-Grundschutz, and TISAX.

• Conduct information classification and assessments of protection needs.

• Devise strategies for threat and attack prevention and defense.

• Counsel clients on the selection, implementation, and management of IT security solutions.

• Assist projects focused on AI governance.

• Oversee team responsibilities, resource allocation, and budget management.

• Actively contribute to shaping and enhancing the consulting portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field, or several years of pertinent professional experience.

• Extensive consulting experience in information security.

• Proven capacity to manage five or more projects simultaneously, each with distinct maturity levels and goals.

• Demonstrated knowledge in a specialized area such as AI governance, cloud security, SIEM, security testing, vulnerability management, business continuity and emergency management, or Identity and Access Management.

• Strong understanding of BSI IT-Grundschutz, ISO 2700x, B3S, NIS2, or ISO 31000.

• Ideally, familiarity with the AI Act, BCM, GDPR, NIS2, KRITIS, NIST, COBIT 2019, and ISO 900x/2000x.

• Relevant certifications that validate this expertise, such as IT-Grundschutz Consultant/Auditor, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISSP, TISP, CISA, or CISM.

• Interest in business development and the ability to support existing clients through cross-selling opportunities.

• Strong interpersonal abilities coupled with a friendly, assertive, and persuasive demeanor.

• Active listening skills and proficient, routine use of AI in consulting and audit settings.

• Enjoyment of collaborative work as part of a team.

• Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken German and English.
