This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the master data lifecycle for essential domains, including patients/constituents, member organizations, employees, programs, and partner entities.
• Establish and uphold golden record standards, field-level merge rules, and survivorship protocols.
• Create and enforce entity matching logic to discover, connect, and merge duplicate or related records.
• Develop and sustain a master data registry or reference catalog.
• Provide guidance on hierarchies, parent-child relationships, and organizational affiliations.
• Design and implement regular data quality assessments.
• Assist with deduplication, data cleansing, bulk remediation, and exception management processes.
• Construct automated or semi-automated data quality checks utilizing SQL, Python, Power Query, or inherent platform tools.
• Assess, prioritize, and resolve master data challenges.
• Monitor and report data quality metrics, trends, and remediation progress to the Director of Data Governance.
• Collaborate with Systems Development Administrators to disseminate master data across CRM, marketing, and analytics platforms.
• Identify and address data fragmentation and inconsistency across various systems.
• Maintain documentation for cross-system mapping.
• Support data migration and system implementation projects with verified, cleansed, and standardized master data.
• Develop standardization rules for names, addresses, organization types, and structured fields.
• Lead the development, review, approval, and oversight of match/merge rules.
• Define data stewardship workflows and assist with steward assignments.
• Offer escalation support and technical guidance to data stewards.
• Create and deliver training materials and job aids for non-technical stewards.
• Facilitate regular working sessions for stewards.
• Generate and update documentation for matching rules, survivorship, domain models, entity resolution, business rules, data lineage, and data governance.
• Supervise one junior-level MDM staff member by providing task direction, coaching, feedback, performance evaluations, professional development, onboarding, and capacity planning.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in master data management, data quality, or enterprise data management.
• At least 2 years of experience in people management, including direct supervision, performance management, and professional development of a minimum of one staff member.
• Practical experience managing at least two master data domains in a multi-system environment.
• Extensive knowledge of deterministic and probabilistic matching, survivorship rules, and golden record construction.
• Strong SQL proficiency.
• Experience with at least one data integration or ETL tool.
• Familiarity with CRM or ERP platforms and their native data management capabilities.
• Ability to convey complex MDM concepts into clear documentation and actionable guidance.
• Demonstrated capability to manage and deliver MDM initiatives in a resource-limited environment without dedicated MDM platform software.
• Hands-on experience utilizing and administering a dedicated MDM platform; Reltio or a comparable enterprise MDM system is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be accepted.
• Experience with nonprofit CRM platforms like Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge NXT, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar cloud data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python for data profiling, standardization, or matching automation.
• Knowledge of the DAMA-DMBOK MDM knowledge area or an equivalent data management framework.
• Experience in or strong familiarity with the life sciences nonprofit sector is highly advantageous.
