
Senior Manager, Marketing Consumer Insights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Lead customer research and segmentation, choosing between primary or secondary research methods based on efficiency in speed and cost.
• Implement an AI-first strategy and utilize modern tools to expedite insight generation while minimizing expenses.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of prospects and current customers throughout their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Director, Marketing Insights & Planning to weave findings into a unified narrative of consumer, competitive, market, and dealer insights.
• Provide input on marketing needs for the Customer Data Platform (CDP).
• Contribute research insights to cross-functional reviews and business cases aimed at growth and retention initiatives.
• Present findings and suggestions to executive-level audiences, including the C-suite.
• Oversee research vendors, manage panels, and handle budgets efficiently.
• Build and nurture a high-performing consumer insights team.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and legal standards.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Fulfill departmental attendance expectations.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Psychology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in consumer/market research, insights, or a related area.
• Practical experience in designing and conducting primary qualitative and quantitative research.
• Proficient in secondary research methodologies.
• Experience in developing customer segmentation strategies.
• Familiarity with AI tools and/or contemporary research technologies.
• Proven ability to present to and persuade senior executive audiences, including the C-suite.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to oversee multiple research projects at once.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Required degrees must be obtained from accredited higher education institutions.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in market research, marketing, or a related field.
• Preferred: Background in financial services, fintech, auto finance, or subprime lending.
• Preferred: Experience in managing research panels, vendors, or a research operations role.
• Preferred: Experience collaborating with data/analytics teams on data platforms such as CDP.
• Occasional travel to the Southfield, Michigan office may be necessary.
