
Senior Manager – Global Trade Investigations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Conduct investigations into claims of possible breaches of global trade compliance laws and regulations through interviews and document analyses.
• Oversee an active caseload utilizing RTX’s matter-management system while adhering to internal and U.S. Government deadlines.
• Prepare disclosures for U.S. Government agencies concerning ITAR and EAR violations.
• Work alongside Global Trade and other functional teams to determine root causes, create compliance solutions, and execute corrective actions.
• Execute audits and evaluations of employee adherence to company policies and governmental regulations.
• Create presentations and update RTX and Collins Aerospace leadership on the status of investigations.
• Facilitate training sessions and provide employee counseling on regulatory and policy obligations.
• Document the resolution of cases that do not present reasonable suspicion of a regulatory breach.
• Search through company databases, generate reports, and analyze data and trends to pinpoint compliance vulnerabilities and devise improvement strategies.
• Report directly to the Director & Assistant General Counsel overseeing the Investigations & Disclosures team.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Generally requires a University Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and at least 7 years of experience.
• Previous experience in global trade investigations and audits/assessments is preferred.
• Proven expertise in export control laws, particularly ITAR and EAR, is desirable.
• Experience within the aerospace or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
• Capable of drafting detailed submissions clearly, concisely, and coherently under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in multitasking, managing, and prioritizing various deadlines.
• Ability to offer timely guidance and practical solutions to other departments.
• Skilled in training stakeholders and presenting information to senior management.
• Competent in performing factual analyses in relation to complex regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• Openness to learning, receptiveness to feedback, and maintaining an open-minded approach.
