This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic oversight and ensure operational excellence for optometrist and technician labor across various business lines.
• Implement the doctor labor model and enhance overall doctor productivity.
• Supervise the labor scheduling team in leveraging data and analytics to optimize schedules based on patient demand.
• Guide, mentor, and develop a team of analysts focused on labor management, OD scheduling, and financial modeling.
• Assist doctor practices through exam management, process improvement, metric enhancement, and strategic initiatives like telehealth.
• Create processes that align doctor supply with patient demand to meet financial and patient service goals.
• Evaluate OD pay rates and design compensation structures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, field leaders, and clinical teams to execute doctor programs and corporate initiatives.
• Establish OD metrics for exam availability, doctor effectiveness, exam growth, and doctor satisfaction.
• Develop and manage reporting and dashboards to aid decision-making for corporate, field, and clinical leadership.
• Oversee the financial model and equipment budget, providing data for investment recommendations.
• Recognize and initiate solutions for business opportunities that impact sales and patient service.
• Direct the OD and tech labor budgeting process and validate associated expenses.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 additional year of experience related to the functional area.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience, including hiring, training, delegating tasks, and managing the performance of direct reports.
• Strong critical thinking abilities and a solid understanding of analytical concepts and techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and SQL.
• Experience with large data sets.
• Background in financial analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience in workforce planning, labor analytics, healthcare operations, or financial planning and analysis.
• Preferred: Advanced skills in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel-based financial modeling.
• Preferred: Experience in developing labor models, demand forecasts, and capacity planning solutions.
• Preferred: Proven capability to lead analytical teams and influence senior leaders through data-driven insights.
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare, provider operations, clinical staffing, or telehealth settings.
• Preferred: Strong knowledge of labor budgeting, compensation modeling, and workforce optimization strategies.
• Preferred: Experience in implementing scheduling and workforce management technologies.
• Lean Six Sigma, analytics, or project management certifications are a plus.
