Finance Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Handle invoices for accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Oversee and proactively address inquiries in the central finance inbox.

• Carry out operational tasks and controls within expense management platforms like Pleo and Ramp.

• Recognize opportunities and provide guidance on automating and enhancing financial operations using AI tools.

• Assist the finance team with daily operational and administrative responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Available for 16 hours each week, with flexible scheduling, preferably at consistent times.

• Currently enrolled in at least a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a similar field.

• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, including managing bank transactions and accounts payable/receivable.

• Advanced proficiency in Dutch and familiarity with Dutch accounting and banking systems.

• Practical knowledge and experience with AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and ChatGPT.

• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proactive, self-driven attitude suited for an international, remote-first environment.

• Willingness to learn and contribute to the enhancement and growth of Weaviate's finance department.

• Alignment with Weaviate's corporate values.

• Legal authorization to work in the country where the candidate intends to reside and work.

• Completion of a background check as part of the onboarding process.
