This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the monthly reporting processes, encompassing updates to the operating model, variance analysis, and management reporting that provides actionable insights for leadership.
• Take ownership of the 3-statement operating model and driver-based forecasting, incorporating structural model adjustments as the business expands.
• Facilitate annual planning by utilizing planning templates, scenario models, assumptions, and targets.
• Develop and sustain company-wide KPI and metrics reporting, including ARR, NRR, gross margin, CAC payback, and Rule of 40.
• Clarify monthly KPI fluctuations and their underlying factors.
• Create scenario and sensitivity models to inform capital and headcount decisions.
• Oversee department-level budget management and assist departmental leaders with budgeting, headcount, and software expenditure.
• Automate the close and forecast cycles through AI and enhanced tools.
• Collaborate with GTM leadership on sales planning and KPI monitoring.
• Manage and refine the monthly close, operating model, and planning cycle as the primary responsible party.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance, with several years spent in a SaaS or usage-based organization.
• Preference for candidates with a background in investment banking, consulting, or private equity.
• Proficient financial modeling skills, including framework development and scenario analysis.
• Proven experience in constructing 3-statement models from the ground up, along with scenario and sensitivity evaluations.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Advanced skills in Google Sheets or Excel, along with the ability to work with large datasets comfortably.
• In-depth knowledge of SaaS metrics and their contributing factors.
• Familiarity with financial data flows and experience in reconciling various systems.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and devise strategies for undefined challenges.
• Experience acting as the finance liaison for non-financial leaders, with the capability to articulate financial concepts clearly.
• Practical experience in developing AI workflows for finance tasks, validating AI outputs, and recognizing AI limitations.
