Senior Manager, Facilities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the provision of facilities services for a designated portfolio of retail bank branches and cafes.

• Serve as the main point of contact for the client concerning operational matters.

• Supervise facility managers responsible for daily operations and customer-facing retail sites.

• Track vendor management efforts, service delivery benchmarks, scope alterations, and underperformance issues.

• Ensure timely preventative maintenance for HVAC systems, security measures, point-of-sale technology, ATMs, and other essential infrastructure.

• Create and execute programs and processes aimed at lowering operating expenses and enhancing operational efficiency.

• Guarantee adherence to health, safety, food safety, environmental standards, and risk management protocols.

• Assist in compliance assessments, health inspections, audits, and training initiatives.

• Promote benchmarking, best practices, and ongoing improvement projects.

• Facilitate interaction between facility managers and internal teams.

• Build and maintain relationships with senior-level clients and ensure service excellence.

• Ensure compliance with client agreements and operational KPIs.

• Manage facility operating budgets, including tracking, forecasting, payment processing, and cost management.

• Lead recruitment for facility managers and oversee their teams.

• Provide coaching, mentoring, training, and support to facility managers.

• Conduct performance evaluations and development planning for facility managers.

• Offer strategic guidance on facilities issues across the assigned locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.

• Preferred relevant certifications and industry designations, such as LEED, CFM, FMP, or certifications in food service/hospitality management.

• Over 7 years of leadership experience in a facility management context.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience managing other facility managers overseeing retail, banking, or hospitality facilities.

• Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams and facility managers across various time zones and regions.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% to visit locations within the portfolio and assist facility managers.

• Proficiency with a variety of information technology tools and platforms.

• Strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking abilities, and problem-solving skills, particularly in customer-facing scenarios.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with presentation abilities to engage with senior client stakeholders.

• Proven track record of building high-performing facility management teams and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers in retail or hospitality environments.
