This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
β’ Assist in the execution of the Operational Technology (OT) strategy and roadmap focused on data center expansion, reliability, and security.
β’ Oversee design coordination, deployment assistance, and operations of Building Management Systems (BMS), Power Management Systems (PMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) based control systems.
β’ Standardize OT platforms, processes, and governance across various data center locations.
β’ Supervise monitoring, alerting, and incident response within OT environments.
β’ Implement and manage OT change control procedures.
β’ Coordinate root cause analyses and corrective measures for incidents and failures.
β’ Manage vendor relationships, service delivery, and performance evaluations.
β’ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to OT engineers, technicians, and contractors.
β’ Establish team priorities, delegate tasks, and ensure that support activities are executed safely and on schedule.
β’ Offer feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations for direct reports and team members operating in a matrix structure.
β’ Ensure OT systems comply with regulatory, compliance, and customer standards.
β’ Assist with commissioning, testing, and acceptance processes for both new builds and retrofit projects.
β’ Assess and implement emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), Internet of Things (IoT), and digital twins.
β’ Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, IT, Cybersecurity, Design, Construction, and site management.
β’ Monitor and report on OT performance, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), alarms, uptime, and other metrics to leadership.
β’ Manage escalations and facilitate the prompt resolution of OT-related issues.
β’ Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and OT best practices.
β’ Secure OT networks, address vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance.
β’ Maintain system drawings, network diagrams, change logs, and other OT-related documentation.
β’ Support budgeting, service agreements, hiring, onboarding, training, staffing, audits, compliance reviews, and customer reporting.
β’ Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OT reliability, scalability, and sustainability.
β’ 3β5 years of experience in Operational Technology (OT)/Industrial Control Systems (ICS), automation, or controls; 5β7 years preferred.
β’ Demonstrated experience in data centers, critical facilities, utilities, or large-scale industrial settings.
β’ Strong understanding of BMS, PMS, SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networking protocols.
β’ Familiarity with OT cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST and IEC 62443.
β’ Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
β’ Proven track record in supporting the scaling of OT systems in a rapidly growing, mission-critical environment.
β’ Travel is required at approximately 25%, with the possibility of increasing over time.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
β’ Physical ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop or kneel, talk, and hear.
β’ Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
