Senior Manager, Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the IQ Platform team by establishing technical direction, mentoring engineers, and overseeing the delivery of significant platform initiatives from start to finish.

• Define and articulate the vision for Jasper’s context layer.

• Develop and expand the knowledge management system, incorporating external integrations and RAG pipelines.

• Design and create a self-evolving context-layer architecture utilizing usage data, feedback, and new information.

• Write and review code collaboratively with the team.

• Mentor engineers and elevate technical excellence standards.

• Collaborate with Staff-level and senior engineers to tackle complex and ambiguous challenges.

• Maintain a balance between speed and quality while delivering extensible major systems.

• Work together with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to facilitate real-world agent workflows at scale.

• Report directly to the Senior Director of Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in AI, including LLMs, agents, copilots, tokens, credits, context windows, RAG, and data governance.

• Over 10 years of practical experience in software engineering.

• Proven track record in people leadership and ownership of technical architecture.

• Demonstrated ability to connect technical efforts to business outcomes.

• Adaptability to deliver major systems in a startup setting.

• Capability to collaborate with Staff-level engineers on intricate architectural and systems-design issues.

• Strong skills in systems design and architecture.

• Experience in building production platforms or infrastructure at scale.

• Preferred: Hands-on experience with LLMs and applied LLM systems.

• Preferred: Expertise in RAG, including retrieval pipelines, embedding strategies, and evaluation.

• Preferred: Familiarity with LLM frameworks such as LangChain.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• At least two years of valid work authorization in the U.S.
