Senior Manager, Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assemble and lead a new engineering team.

• Develop a portfolio of services centered on automation, observability, and identity management.

• Create a strategic execution plan and roadmap for the rollout of the new service offerings.

• Collaborate with a cross-functional product team, which includes architects, testers, customer support, and operations.

• Work alongside management to identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure project progress.

• Recruit and onboard new team members as required.

• Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team culture.

• Design dependable, scalable, secure, enterprise-grade products.

• Manage daily operations, including one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching/mentoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field.

• At least 3 years of experience managing a software development team proficient in either Python or Go.

• Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud technologies.

• Understanding of software development practices, including Agile methodologies, continuous integration, and automated testing.

• Proficient with tools such as GIT, JIRA, and Jenkins.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
