Senior Manager, Electrical Engineering Software and Tooling Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of electrical engineering software suites, encompassing intake, deployment, optimization, and retirement.

• Monitor, assess, and enhance floating license pools and maintenance contracts.

• Implement license reclamation and cost-efficiency initiatives that align with enterprise financial objectives.

• Collaborate with electrical engineering program leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to comprehend workflow needs and resolve bottlenecks.

• Ensure the smooth delivery of engineering tools.

• Manage hardware infrastructure requirements, workstation configurations, and specialized server support for electrical engineering design and simulation environments.

• Develop and execute long-term tooling strategies, define service catalogs, and establish compliance standards.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a technical team of engineers and administrators.

• Ensure that tool deployments, server setups, and data exchanges comply with enterprise security and ATO standards.

• Advocate for AI-driven tools, automation scripts, and analytics to facilitate user onboarding and predict license demand.

• Travel to Raytheon locations across the continental United States, including McKinney, Texas, and Tucson, Arizona.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 7 years of experience.

• Proven experience in technical management or leadership within engineering software, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-tech hardware/software sectors.

• Familiarity with electrical engineering software ecosystems, computer-aided engineering (CAE) platforms, and complex license server management (e.g., FlexPLM, RLM).

• Leadership experience in managing technical personnel, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and spearheading enterprise-level digital transformation initiatives.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

• An active and existing DoD Secret security clearance is required starting from day one.

• Must reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% to Raytheon locations.

• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• Preferred: Experience in a managerial or team leader role in a defense contracting firm.
