This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.

• Create and assess safety and non-safety-related electrical systems for both nuclear and commercial projects.

• Collaborate with mechanical, nuclear, operations, and electrical engineering teams.

• Implement engineering principles, industry best practices, regulatory guidance, codes, and standards to ensure designs are compliant.

• Conduct engineering calculations for lighting, voltage drop, conductor sizing, and panel heat generation.

• Produce and interpret wiring diagrams, single-line drawings, loop diagrams, control architectural drawings and specifications, electrical and instrumentation specifications, data sheets, and control philosophy documents.

• Aid in the preparation of design documents and plant modifications, coordinating with designers.

• Support engineering analyses, activities, and programs to identify and resolve routine equipment and system issues.

• Incorporate site design, safety, and licensing-basis criteria in design media.

• Participate in multidisciplinary, project-based teams and integrate designs across various disciplines.

• Mentor and perform quality reviews of junior team members when necessary.

• Verify design media for accuracy and adherence to company policies and client expectations.

• Adhere to assigned schedules and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays.

• Suggest equipment, concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify designs, reduce costs, rectify design flaws, or comply with evolving requirements.

• Assist in the installation and testing of site systems and components.

• Fulfill assigned responsibilities under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical or engineering field.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in the nuclear industry is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic knowledge of CE&I Systems design software and Microsoft Office.

• Capability to perform complex technical tasks with minimal supervision.

• Advanced understanding and application of fundamental principles and concepts related to electrical design.

• Experience in contributing to electrical system design, including on-site distribution, off-site interfaces, grounding and lightning protection, plant lighting systems, battery system design, communications systems, or diesel generators.

• Increasing familiarity with nuclear regulatory guidance, such as NUREG-0800 Chapter 8.

• Proven experience applying relevant codes and standards, including IEEE, IEC, and EPRI.

• Demonstrated competence in performing electrical system design and analysis.

• Must be a U.S. citizen to be considered.
