
Senior Manager, Donor Data & Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the donor data team, overseeing data reporting and processes to ensure prompt service to both donors and internal staff.
• Serve as the liaison between fundraising leadership and internal teams to synchronize campaign objectives and enhance partner and donor engagement processes.
• Manage the design, development, support, maintenance, security backup, and integrity of the donor database.
• Guarantee compliance with policies, regulations, and industry standards concerning ethical and confidential donor relations.
• Create and oversee the budget for donor data and operations.
• Supervise ETL processes while striving for continuous improvement in their efficiency and accuracy.
• Deliver data automation, database queries, reporting tools, and predictive modeling utilizing Python, SQL, and CI/CD principles.
• Collaborate with IT on technical matters, hardware, software, website, and server administration.
• Engage in the preparation, development, and performance monitoring of campaigns.
• Work alongside senior leaders to assist with partner campaigns.
• Cooperate with teams on vendor RFPs and feature negotiations.
• Ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance in all data-related fundraising activities.
• Stay informed on updates, conduct research, and train the team on new features and efficient processes.
• Support donor cultivation and stewardship events.
• Promote a shared vision that embodies the organization's core values.
• Proven success in managing a complex relational database and leading a data team.
• 5–7 years of experience in relational data management, with advanced skills in SQL, fundraising, and donor relations.
• Proficient in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
• Skilled in SQL and database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Experience with API integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices in relation to ETL processes.
• Background in data visualization and reporting tools.
• Capable of manipulating, transforming, or merging datasets using Excel or Python.
• Knowledgeable in CRM platforms such as Blackbaud's RENXT, Omatic, CharityEngine, Bloomerang, HubSpot, Constant Contact, or Mailchimp.
• Understanding of website processes and PCI compliance criteria.
• Ability to convey complex technical information to varied audiences.
• Strong team leadership and project management abilities.
• Financial acumen with the capability to analyze campaign metrics.
• Competent in managing multiple priorities and performing under pressure.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams.
• Willingness to work outside of regular hours and travel as necessary.
• Military service may substitute for professional experience and/or formal education requirements.
• A valid driver's license and proof of insurance may be necessary based on role responsibilities.
• Must be capable of lifting up to fifteen (15) pounds.
