Senior Manager, Digital Accounts – Order to Cash

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the AR team for Digital and Royalty Streams, ensuring all operational tasks are executed efficiently.

• Take ownership of invoicing, collections, cash application, revenue assurance, and conducting risk assessments.

• Oversee cash forecasting and manage bad debt effectively.

• Facilitate the setup and ongoing management of new accounts, while maintaining strong relationships with DSPs, licensing, and sync partners.

• Administer the risk review schedule and timeline for the Digital portfolio.

• Act as the primary liaison for SSC Accounting, Legal, Finance, and Business Teams.

• Examine contracts for terms, advances, payments, reporting, and pricing details.

• Manage Invoice Advances/Guarantees, Formatting, and Preparation Fees.

• Implement, interpret, and review contractual language pertinent to royalty-related revenue customers and partners.

• Document and report digital revenues categorized by media type, ensuring accurate cash application and revenue recognition triggers.

• Lead and mentor both internal and offshore resources.

• Collaborate with FP&A to assist in cash forecasting for major revenue streams.

• Prepare accruals for outstanding or revised sales reporting files.

• Address account discrepancies with customers and pursue collection of additional funds.

• Supervise daily cash reporting and follow-up processes.

• Manage the preparation of invoices concerning pricing, manifest, suspense, compliance, and product code issues.

• Enhance and refine data reporting and storage processes.

• Lead meetings focused on account reviews, cash forecasts, and bad debt management.

• Oversee the facilitation of monthly royalty payments.

• Support revenue recognition efforts.

• Own and review SOX controls relevant to the Digital portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• A decade of extensive experience in Finance Operations, shared services, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and related OTC processes or revenue accounting.

• At least five years of experience in leading large teams, including those with outsourced support resources.

• In-depth expertise in SAP S/4 HANA.

• Comprehensive process knowledge of Customer Master Data, Credit Management, Billing, Collections, Dispute Management, and Cash Application.

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for Finance.

• Strong grasp of internal controls, data governance, and SOX compliance.

• Proficient in BI software, Excel, or similar tools to create data matching models.

• Thorough understanding of ASC 606 (US GAAP) and/or IFRS 15.

• Detailed knowledge of revenue streams within the Music Industry.

• Familiarity with Music Industry metadata concerning products, tracks, and other artist-related works.
