This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance and update credit underwriting strategies utilizing advanced analytics across various lending products.
• Examine historical loan performance data to model credit expansion initiatives, pinpoint customer segments, and optimize conversion funnels.
• Conduct root-cause analyses on credit losses and trends in defaults.
• Collaborate with Fraud Risk Management to bolster fraud prevention measures.
• Create valuation models to assess segment-level economics and provide guidance to Capital Markets regarding yield projections and performance assumptions.
• Work alongside Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to design A/B tests that balance risk management, conversion improvements, and user experience.
• Monitor and validate performance before and after implementing changes to credit and fraud rules.
• Develop monitoring frameworks for product launches, emerging portfolio risks, and executive decision-making processes.
• Present underwriting methodologies to investors and assist with due diligence and queries about portfolio performance.
• Partner with Legal and Compliance to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards.
• Perform ad hoc quantitative analyses in support of Credit, Operations, and Product objectives.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (such as Statistics, Math, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business).
• Over 5 years of experience in credit risk management or data science related to consumer lending.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where priorities can change rapidly.
• Highly motivated, results-oriented individual with a strong curiosity and a proven ability to investigate root causes, challenge existing norms, and devise innovative solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with sound business judgment.
• Strong communicator capable of simplifying complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
• Effective team collaborator, comfortable engaging with partners across various teams and levels of seniority.
• Advanced skills in SQL and Python/R for independently extracting, cleaning, and modeling complex relational data.
• Practical experience with predictive modeling, customer segmentation, and statistical methodologies to assess risk and borrower behavior.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
• Compliance with all company security protocols and data handling practices.
• Completion of mandatory security awareness training within specified timelines.
• Immediate reporting of any suspected security incidents or unusual activities to the Security team.
• Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States is required.
