Senior Manager, Development Engineering

📋 Description

• Oversee operational goals for designated teams focused on the research and development of innovative digital products, services, and technologies.

• Enhance existing digital offerings, services, and technologies.

• Ensure adherence to established policies, processes, and procedures.

• Manage daily team operations while promoting a collaborative and innovative environment.

• Engage in hands-on software development when necessary.

• Identify, manage, escalate, and mitigate project-related risks and challenges.

• Promote continuous improvement and process enhancements.

• Validate software development solutions with potential users and select the optimal approach.

• Participate in technical decision-making and solution development processes.

• Manage technical documentation and project roadmaps effectively.

• Recommend budgets for projects and programs.

• Provide technical expertise for products under development and improvements to existing products.

• Review research outcomes to guide direction and decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Relevant project management or agile certifications such as PMP, CSM, PSPO, or POPM are beneficial.

• Strong communication skills and excellent decision-making capabilities.

• Ability to lead and manage technical teams, delegate tasks, and facilitate independent work.

• Proficient in presenting technical and complex information to varied audiences.

• Skilled in data analysis, report generation, and recommending solutions.

• Ability to assess risks, priorities, and business benefits effectively.

• Capable of coordinating team activities and managing deliverables.

• Extensive experience in new product introductions, design modifications, and upgrades throughout production.

• Relevant IT experience within a complex business environment and translating technical concepts into business language.

• Demonstrated experience in coaching and facilitating training sessions.

• Proven track record of success in a large-scale organization.

• Extensive experience negotiating with or managing vendors and third-party service providers.

• A strong history of achieving individual and team objectives.
