This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Provide guidance and assistance to senior leaders regarding audience-specific communication strategies, messaging, channels, delivery methods, and execution across various regions.
• Create and execute communication strategies, plans, governance, and schedules that align with business objectives.
• Propel strategic narratives utilizing audience insights and suitable communication channels.
• Maintain consistency and continuity in messaging, standards, approvals, and program support.
• Enhance communication platforms, tools, and operational frameworks.
• Align outreach efforts with strategic business and functional objectives, while evolving existing communication programs.
• Foster two-way dialogue and engagement to amplify key messages and enhance brand understanding.
• Plan, oversee, and communicate changes, transformations, cultural shifts, and commercial initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Ensure alignment with Corporate External and Internal Communication strategies, policies, standards, and tactics.
• Offer proactive advice to internal stakeholders regarding communication strategies and programs.
• Work collaboratively with functional team members, corporate and business communication partners, and regional stakeholders.
• Define, drive, and refine KPIs, metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
• Assist with issues/crisis communications as necessary.
• Supervise agency partners when appropriate.
• Direct communication processes, governance, and approval standards in conjunction with subject matter experts, project owners, compliance, and legal partners.
• Evaluate, monitor, and analyze program effectiveness to ascertain ROI and enhance communication outcomes.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• 8+ years of experience in communications, journalism, corporate communications, or a related agency field.
• A proven history of defining and executing communication strategies, programs, and campaigns across regional or multi-segment audiences.
• Experience in matrix organizations.
• Familiarity with business operations, senior stakeholder management, and cross-regional collaboration.
• Experience and comfort in a building mode while navigating complexity and ambiguity.
• Ability to operate across various capacities, adapting as necessary.
• A comprehensive strategic communications perspective, business acumen, understanding of relevant corporate functions, audience-specific insights, and a focus on measurable performance.
• Strong aptitude for building productive relationships, influencing senior leaders, and leading through stakeholder interactions across functions, business segments, and regions.
• Solid understanding of change management practices, change communications techniques, governance, and operating frameworks.
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing, editing, presentation, and speaking skills.
• Experience in a life science, technology, or science-related company is preferred.
• Global or multi-region communications experience is preferred.
