• Enhance 1Password's reputation as a reliable authority in identities, credentials, and access.
• Craft compelling narratives surrounding identity and access management, unified access, and the future role of AI in security.
• Establish trust with developer, business, and security communities through media relations, contributed content, events, speaking engagements, and prompt responses.
• Create media strategies and cultivate relationships with journalists.
• Assist executive and technical spokespeople.
• Produce press releases, contributed articles, blog entries, executive communications, media materials, and various other content.
• Formulate media and speaking strategies for prominent industry events, including RSA Conference, Black Hat, and Infosecurity Europe.
• Organize briefings and interviews, support speaker preparation, and provide on-site communication assistance.
• Keep abreast of developments in cybersecurity, identity, AI, and technology.
• Create rapid-response plans and coordinate internal feedback.
• Establish communication goals and track coverage, message acceptance, and audience engagement.
• Utilize insights to refine strategies and prioritize upcoming tasks.
• Report directly to the Director of Communications.
• Over 6 years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing within B2B technology.
• Strong preference for experience in cybersecurity, AI, or developer-focused roles.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity, identity and access management, credential security, AI agents, and developer workflows.
• Ability to articulate concepts of authentication, authorization, credential usage, and accountability as organizations embrace new technologies.
• Established connections with media in security, technology, business, and developer sectors.
• Experience collaborating with executive and technical spokespeople.
• Capability to devise communication strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Proficiency in translating complex subjects into clear, credible content for both technical and business audiences.
• Skills in collaborating with marketing, product, engineering, security, legal, sales, executive teams, and external agency partners.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, make sound decisions, communicate trade-offs, and follow through on initiatives.
• Proficient in utilizing AI while maintaining strategic thinking and editorial judgment.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada; no work authorization, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship will be provided.
