This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Take ownership of the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) domain and the content strategy within the overall editorial framework.
• Gain a deep understanding of athenahealth's RCM offerings, customer requirements, market landscape, and go-to-market strategies.
• Produce RCM-related content, particularly high-quality blogs and eBooks that cater to audiences at various stages of the funnel.
• Transition into content areas such as Value-Based Care, Payer, Interoperability, and Patient Experience as necessary.
• Conduct interviews, analyze data, and perform research to generate accurate, engaging, and useful content.
• Customize content and tone for various audiences, including Specialties, Enterprise, Small Group, and Group sectors.
• Provide consultation on landing pages, emails, and webinars to ensure narrative coherence and editorial excellence.
• Create briefs for freelance writers and assess their work for accuracy, quality, and alignment with editorial standards.
• Manage stakeholder review and approval processes, track feedback and decisions, and communicate the status of content projects.
• Collaborate with Product and Portfolio Marketing, Brand, and Integrated Marketing on messaging, campaigns, and go-to-market strategies.
• Implement SEO and AI search optimization techniques, including AIO, LLMO, and GEO.
• Utilize performance insights to improve topics, formats, and future content strategies.
• Review RCM and related content for gaps, overlaps, refresh opportunities, and new content priorities.
• Report to the Senior Manager of Editorial Content and work in partnership across a matrixed organization.
• 8-10 years of experience in content marketing, editorial roles, journalism, or professional writing.
• Significant experience in creating long-form B2B content.
• Experience in the healthcare sector is essential.
• Direct experience with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Value-Based Care, Payer, Interoperability, or Patient Experience is advantageous.
• Proven ability to operate within a highly cross-functional, stakeholder-driven, matrixed organization.
• Outstanding writing and editing capabilities.
• Strong portfolio that includes long-form business content such as blogs, eBooks, guides, reports, or case studies.
• Ability to rapidly develop expertise in multiple subject areas.
• Skilled in building productive relationships with internal experts and cross-functional collaborators.
• Capacity to adjust tone, depth, and format for various audiences and specialties.
• Familiarity with SEO and AI search optimization techniques, including AIO, LLMO, and GEO.
• Excellent judgment, organizational skills, and stakeholder communication abilities.
• Capability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment.
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
