Senior Manager, Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Stay updated on breaking news within the industry, emerging threats, and competitive developments in real-time to quickly formulate and share the company's perspective.

• Develop and maintain a rapid-response playbook, an executive quote bank, and efficient approval workflows in collaboration with subject matter experts, executives, and agency partners.

• Propose reactive commentary, bylines, statements, and social media content to key media outlets covering significant industry events.

• Create a Partner communications initiative alongside Partner Marketing to showcase Zscaler’s partnerships, enhance strategic alliances, spotlight collaborations with leading technology firms, and expand the program globally.

• Monitor and assess share of voice (SOV) relative to competitors and industry benchmarks by utilizing communications analytics tools.

• Manage the rhythm, content, and executive presentations for quarterly business reviews (QBRs), linking the effectiveness of Corporate Communications programs directly to pipeline and revenue outcomes.

• Report to the Director of AI, Product Communications within the Corporate Communications team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A demonstrated curiosity and proactive exploration of AI tools, with a proven ability to integrate new technologies to improve daily operations and enhance problem-solving capabilities.

• Over 8 years of experience in public relations, communications, or communications operations, preferably in B2B technology or cybersecurity sectors.

• A solid history of developing, obtaining approval for, and pitching reactive content within hours of breaking news.

• Proven experience utilizing measurement platforms and communications analytics tools to assess media effectiveness.

• Experience in building and scaling communications programs.

• Strong analytical abilities with a background in developing business cases, tracking pipeline impact, and presenting QBRs to executive leadership.

• High-integrity judgment and exceptional writing skills across various formats, including statements, bylines, and internal communications, even in high-pressure situations.

• Preferred: demonstrated ability to harness AI technologies and workflows to achieve measurable operational efficiency.

• Preferred: experience in leading partner communications among vendors.

• Preferred: prior experience in fast-paced public relations, communications, or newsroom environments.

• Preferred: direct experience in cybersecurity or another rapidly evolving, threat-driven industry.

• Preferred: familiarity with pipeline and revenue attribution models applicable to marketing and corporate communications.

• Preferred: previous experience in establishing, scaling, or modernizing a communications measurement program from the ground up.
