This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report directly to the Director of Commercial Strategy.
• Establish customer strategies and spearhead strategic planning to optimize commercial opportunities and partnerships with key clientele.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives for channel-driven product strategies, delivering product and packaging solutions tailored for priority channels.
• Create go-to-market strategies utilizing category insights to enhance sales and profitability for assigned retailers and channels.
• Utilize Nielsen, IRI, Circana, shopper insights, and internal performance metrics to pinpoint trends, gaps, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Supply Chain on category strategies, assortment optimization, price-pack architecture, and execution of promotional strategies.
• Assist in annual joint business planning with customers through category growth narratives, shopper insights, and innovation opportunities.
• Bring insights from customers and channels upstream to influence brand and innovation strategies, enhancing retail execution.
• Maintain reporting tools and conduct ongoing analysis of customer-data trends to identify opportunities that create value.
• Work alongside Sales to implement corrective actions as needed.
• Formulate strategies for joint business planning, category reviews, and new item presentations with National Sales Directors and Category Management.
• Contribute insights into customer planning cycles based on category, shopper, and competitive trends.
• Analyze and propose go-to-market responses to competitive and channel activities.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6-8+ years of experience in Sales, Category Management, Revenue Management, Customer Development, or other relevant roles in the CPG industry.
• Minimum of 5 years in Analytics.
• Knowledge of CPG categories, consumers, and shopper behavior.
• In-depth understanding of category management principles and their application to the Produce category.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical and project management capabilities.
• Excellent presentation, consensus-building, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• Superior time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in sourcing, collecting, and manipulating data to generate meaningful, actionable insights.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications; expert level in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in building databases and extracting insights from syndicated data sources, including IRI/Nielsen.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% for account calls and sales meetings.
