Senior Manager – Clinical Innovation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee and effectively drive use cases within the clinical innovation portfolio and initiatives.

• Address critical business challenges and assist in the development of new value sources within Aetna’s Clinical Solutions business unit.

• Lead, collaborate, and partner with cross-functional teams and both internal and external stakeholders.

• Create, test, and implement innovative solutions.

• Define, rationalize, and align priorities based on clearly articulated business rationale.

• Manage and drive the innovation process through ideation/concept, solution development, and pilot phases.

• Oversee readiness, scaled deployment, value realization, and monitoring efforts.

• Identify risks and develop intervention strategies.

• Facilitate working sessions effectively.

• Provide necessary analysis, reporting, and presentation materials.

• Assess new concepts, emerging innovation trends, and conduct benchmarking of clinical operations/offerings.

• Transform trends into innovative solutions that address significant business challenges and deliver exceptional value.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of Program Management experience leading complex initiatives.

• At least 2 years of successful experience in strategy, innovation, and/or portfolio management within the healthcare industry or a comparable field.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven capability to develop and deliver presentations to senior leadership team members.

• Strong skills in data and analytics.

• Ability to consistently create and produce value, meeting or exceeding committed performance.

• Capacity to drive new innovation in highly cross-functional environments.

• Demonstrated relationship management abilities.

• Experience identifying value opportunities and creating new capabilities and/or project offerings that yield new value.

• Experience with enterprise-wide and/or cross-functional large-scale initiatives involving a high degree of complexity.

• Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape.

• College degree required.

• Relevant licensure or certification by discipline is preferred.
