This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee the creation and implementation of Dropbox’s regional marketing strategy for the Asia-Pacific and Japan region.
• Develop and manage the integrated field and channel marketing strategy for APJ, ensuring alignment with regional sales objectives and Dropbox’s global marketing strategy.
• Collaborate with the Regional VP of Sales and sales leadership to formulate regional and country-specific plans aimed at generating qualified leads, accelerating opportunities, and fostering revenue growth.
• Direct regional marketing initiatives, including field events, executive experiences, account-based campaigns, integrated marketing efforts, partner and channel activations, webinars, and locally tailored strategies.
• Balance investments between direct-to-customer efforts and partner-led initiatives using insights from customer feedback, sales priorities, partner opportunities, and performance analytics.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture the Japan Marketing team.
• Establish relationships with regional sales, partner sales, and channel leaders; develop joint plans and co-marketing initiatives with key partners.
• Adapt global campaigns, positioning, and content into regionally relevant programs in collaboration with global marketing teams.
• Manage the regional marketing budget, oversee agency and vendor relationships, maintain the program calendar, conduct forecasting, and perform performance reporting; optimize investments based on pipeline impact and return on investment.
• Define KPIs and operational rhythms with Sales and Marketing Operations, including planning sessions and business reviews.
• Represent the APJ region within the global marketing organization and share insights on market intelligence, customer and partner feedback, competitive analysis, and regional best practices.
• Develop a scalable regional marketing playbook customized for individual APJ markets.
• Travel within the region and internationally as necessary, approximately 20% of the time.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, with substantial expertise in regional, field, demand generation, and/or channel marketing within the enterprise software, SaaS, or other technology sectors.
• Proven track record in developing and executing multi-country APJ marketing strategies that have resulted in measurable pipeline and sales impact.
• Experience in people management, including coaching and developing marketing professionals across diverse countries, cultures, or time zones.
• Demonstrated ability to function as a strategic partner to senior sales executives, translating sales objectives into marketing strategies and fostering alignment through planning and business reviews.
• Experience in leading a diverse mix of field and channel programs, including events, account-based initiatives, partner co-marketing, campaigns, and initiatives aimed at accelerating pipeline.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, encompassing experience in managing regional budgets, establishing program KPIs, assessing pipeline contributions, and utilizing performance data for investment optimization.
• Exceptional executive communication, cross-functional leadership, and influencing capabilities, with the ability to thrive in a global, distributed, and highly collaborative organization.
• In-depth knowledge of the APJ technology landscape, with experience in crafting differentiated strategies across both mature and emerging markets; direct experience in several of Dropbox’s Tier 1 markets is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with a channel-led or partner-influenced go-to-market approach, including co-marketing with resellers, distributors, alliances, or technology partners.
• Experience in building or enhancing a regional marketing function, operating model, or playbook in a dynamic or evolving business environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise and commercial buying journeys, account-based marketing, opportunity acceleration, and regional event strategy.
• Experience working within a Virtual First or similarly distributed global organization.
