Senior Manager, Actuary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the financial management of current integrated kidney care initiatives.

• Evaluate and underwrite new value-based care contracts.

• Supervise a small yet expanding team of actuarial analysts.

• Conduct annual financial reconciliations for programs.

• Model the financial implications of new contractual agreements.

• Enhance enterprise risk management capabilities.

• Implement predictive modeling techniques.

• Investigate trends within the health care sector.

• Create and present executive-level presentations.

• Manage financial reconciliations for programs and observe emerging program experiences.

• Analyze the factors affecting program performance and relay findings to leadership and internal stakeholders.

• Utilize actuarial underwriting principles for value-based contracts, including baseline and trend analysis.

• Establish and oversee internal performance benchmarks.

• Drive the development of actuarial processes and capabilities.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing a small but growing actuarial analyst team.

• Demonstrable experience in completing annual program financial reconciliations.

• Background in modeling the economics of new contracts.

• Experience in developing enterprise risk management capabilities.

• Familiarity with predictive modeling methods.

• Knowledge of trends in the health care industry.

• Competence in developing and delivering presentations at the executive level.

• Understanding of actuarial underwriting principles.

• Proficiency in baseline and trend calculations.

• Ability to engage with internal performance benchmarks.

• Capability to lead the development of actuarial processes and competencies.
