This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
β’ Assist Actuarial Finance in analyzing, forecasting, and recognizing VBC Membership, Revenue, and Medical Expenses.
β’ Evaluate trend drivers, utilization patterns, and emerging risks.
β’ Create, develop, and maintain actuarial and financial models that support trend projections, forecasting, VBC performance monitoring, and risk arrangement assessments.
β’ Convert complex modeling results and data analyses into outputs that are ready for decision-making, including executive summaries, financial commentary, and performance narratives.
β’ Collaborate with teams across actuarial, finance, clinical, and strategy sectors.
β’ Lead or assist in developing data tools that categorize extensive datasets across financial, utilization, quality, and outcomes dimensions.
β’ Present findings to stakeholders while tailoring the technical depth and context to suit the audience.
β’ Create repeatable, automated analytical workflows utilizing scripting, templated models, and AI-assisted tools.
β’ Enhance processes through automation, standardization, or AI-assisted enhancements while ensuring transparency, controls, and documentation.
β’ Build trusted performance narratives to aid senior leadership in decision-making.
β’ Minimize cycle time and manual effort for ongoing VBC performance analyses.
β’ Carry out additional job-related tasks as required.
β’ Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in an actuarial, analytical, or finance role within a collaborative environment.
β’ More than 5 years of experience in managed care, healthcare, or a similar regulated industry.
β’ Strong analytical and modeling capabilities using Excel or similar modeling tools.
β’ Proficient in data analysis using SQL, SAS, R, Python, or equivalent tools.
β’ Proven experience in automating recurring analytical tasks, models, or reporting activities.
β’ Ability to translate quantitative findings into concise written and verbal explanations for non-technical audiences.
β’ Capability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving, and occasionally ambiguous environment.
β’ Strong professional judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to question results, assumptions, and outputs.
β’ Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to address risks, limitations, and uncertainties.
β’ Demonstrated ability to apply AI responsibly, with a focus on data quality, bias, reproducibility, and professional standards.
β’ Comfort in preparing executive-level summaries that clearly differentiate modeled results, interpretations, and judgments.
β’ Experience in supporting Value-Based Care, ACOs, MA, MSSP, or other risk-based reimbursement models is preferred.
β’ Practical experience in utilizing AI-enabled tools for analysis, interpretation, documentation, or narrative development, with appropriate validation and oversight is preferred.
β’ ASA or higher actuarial credential is preferred.
