Actuarial AI Transformation Consulting Director

📋 Description

• Lead the identification, assessment, and implementation of AI-driven actuarial solutions.

• Foster the integration of artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, automation, and cloud technologies within the actuarial department.

• Collaborate with senior management to formulate and carry out the Actuarial AI Strategy.

• Propel innovation through thought leadership and the effective application of AI-enhanced actuarial solutions.

• Cultivate relationships with colleagues, business partners, and leaders across various functions.

• Keep abreast of emerging AI capabilities, actuarial processes, operational efficiency, and analytical prospects.

• Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, claims, finance, data, and technology teams to generate measurable business value.

• Engage in the formulation and execution of actuarial policies, business strategies, and objectives.

• Advocate for AI adoption, education, and change management utilizing best practices, reusable solutions, and coaching.

• Remain updated on developments in actuarial science, technology, artificial intelligence, and the insurance industry.

• Report to an AVP or higher-level position.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• Typically requires a minimum of ten years of relevant work experience.

• Fellowship accreditation (FCAS) is required.

• Proven experience in leveraging advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, or emerging technologies to tackle business challenges.

• Advanced knowledge of actuarial principles, practices, procedures, and issues within the insurance sector.

• Capability to identify, prioritize, and operationalize opportunities enabled by AI.

• Experience in influencing business partners and leaders across various levels.

• Strong comprehension of artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, automation, and emerging technologies.

• Exceptional analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Professional judgment and accountability for decisions affecting business outcomes.

• Robust project management skills with the ability to spearhead cross-functional initiatives.

• Proficient in managing ambiguity and steering through change.

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

• Preferred experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and driving business results through data-informed decision-making.
