Senior Manager, Accounts Payable

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Supervise Twilio’s worldwide Accounts Payable operations and lead the execution of processes with excellence.

• Manage daily activities related to global Accounts Payable, vendor payments, expense tracking, and credit card reconciliations.

• Guide and develop the AP team, establishing KPIs, performance standards, and professional growth plans.

• Oversee month-end close processes for AP, which include reconciliations from sub-ledger to GL, expense accruals, and balance sheet fluctuation analysis.

• Standardize comprehensive operating procedures and maintain process documentation across all divisions.

• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements, handling audit inquiries and preparing PBC schedules.

• Collaborate with Procurement, FP&A, Legal, and Tax departments to enhance purchase-to-pay processes and vendor onboarding.

• Address complex vendor issues and internal payment inquiries.

• Promote automation, ensure regulatory compliance, and facilitate both organic and inorganic growth.

• Report directly to the Senior Director of International Accounting.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years managing AP managers within a large US multinational company.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Strong expertise in enterprise ERPs, including Oracle, Workday, and Navan.

• Practical knowledge of US operations, US GAAP, SOX controls, multi-currency payments, and international tax compliance.

• Exceptional team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication abilities.

• Preferred experience in managing high-volume US vendor portfolios, 1099 compliance/withholding, and automation or RPA projects within a global SaaS context.

• Strong understanding of US and international tax/statutory obligations, including GST/TDS, is preferred.
