This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the accounts payable team
• Oversee the workflow process for accounts payable
• Manage invoice processing and authorize disbursements
• Ensure precise payments and accounting for payables, including general ledger coding, accounting periods, allocations, and prepaid expenses
• Handle vendor and customer relations
• Assess vendor maintenance and ACH requests
• Facilitate interfaces among billing, accounts payable, and general ledger systems
• Resolve discrepancies in vendor accounts with departments and vendors
• Collaborate with departments to research and interpret accounting policies and address operational challenges
• Create, implement, and uphold systems, procedures, policies, and accounts payable best practices
• Supervise the inter-company voucher process and accounts payable/accounts receivable payment applications
• Prepare monthly and annual accruals and accounting adjustments
• Identify and report on account aging issues
• Record adjustments related to M&A payables and expense accrual journal entries
• Foster relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Promote continuous improvement by eliminating obstacles to accuracy, productivity, and quality
• Assist Finance Leadership by generating key performance reports for operations and corporate management
• Engage in special projects as directed by Accounting Leadership
• Execute other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
• Over five years of experience in accounts payable
• Minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity
• Comprehensive understanding of accounts payable functions
• Exceptional organizational skills and time management abilities
• Capability to work independently, as well as in a team setting, and to lead or engage in cross-functional teams
• Dedication to data quality and maintaining high standards of accuracy
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, technology-driven service environment
• Strong communication, interpersonal, written communication, and presentation abilities
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in a geographically distributed, multi-site organization and familiarity with multiple systems is highly desirable
• Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• Outstanding supervisory and analytical capabilities
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to inspire and motivate staff
• Experience with an OCR-based accounts payable system is preferred
• Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including occasionally lifting, pushing, or moving office equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
• Ability to wear approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary
