AP Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Review, validate, and process invoices for payment.

• Maintain relationships with suppliers and address payment discrepancies.

• Manage vendor inquiries effectively.

• Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receipts.

• Initiate and coordinate vendor payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments.

• Generate accounts payable reports, encompassing outstanding balances, cash flow forecasts, and aging reports.

• Monitor and control company expenses by assessing payment terms and negotiating vendor discounts.

• Identify and resolve issues related to accounts payable, including disputes, late payments, and missing documentation.

• Execute related ad hoc tasks as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting, or equivalent.

• Excellent verbal, written, and English communication skills.

• Availability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or during US operating hours.

• Proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications, databases, and accounting software.

• Strong working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other relevant tools.

• Comprehensive understanding of accounts payable principles, accounting standards, and account reconciliation.

• High level of accuracy in financial record-keeping and attention to detail.

• Capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet payment deadlines.

• CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
