Senior Manager, Accounting, FP&A

📋 Description

• Spearhead the evolution of Luna’s existing NetSuite deployment into a comprehensive, automated, and scalable financial management platform.

• Evaluate configurations, integrations, reporting functionalities, and manual workflows; create and implement a prioritized optimization roadmap in collaboration with the VP of Finance.

• Integrate banking and cash management processes, including bank feeds, transaction processing, reconciliation, and cash visibility.

• Incorporate accounts receivable and revenue cycle/collections data, featuring automated reconciliations and enhanced AR reporting.

• Design automated financial and operational KPI dashboards along with market-level P&Ls.

• Merge budgeting and forecasting with automated actual-versus-budget reporting, rolling forecasts, and scenario modeling.

• Minimize the use of spreadsheets, manual transfers, duplicate entries, and disconnected reporting; establish robust data structures, reporting dimensions, and controls.

• Assess NetSuite modules and supplementary planning/reporting solutions; manage both internal resources and external implementation partners.

• Oversee annual budgeting, rolling forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

• Create integrated models for revenue, collections, therapist costs, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, and cash flow.

• Own the automated monthly performance reporting against budget, forecast, and prior year at both company and market levels.

• Prepare executive and board-level reports, forecasts, presentations, and scenario analyses.

• Manage, mentor, and develop the Accounting Manager while supervising the accounting team.

• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closings; review statements, reconciliations, accruals, and estimates.

• Ensure GAAP compliance, implement effective policies, internal controls, and maintain accurate NetSuite financial data.

• Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, AR reconciliations, and cash management; coordinate audit and tax requirements.

• Collaborate with operational leaders on financial objectives, margins, operating costs, and cash flow.

• Drive cross-functional process improvements with clear milestones, measurable objectives, and accountability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including substantial FP&A and management responsibilities.

• Extensive hands-on experience with NetSuite in configuration, optimization, integration, automation, and reporting.

• Proven track record in leading ERP implementation, optimization, or transformation, covering banking, AR, operational data, and reporting integrations.

• Proficient in advanced financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting operations, controls, and financial statement preparation.

• Experience in developing finance professionals.

• Excellent project management, analytical, communication, and cross-functional execution abilities.

• Preferred experience in healthcare, particularly with high-volume transactions and complex revenue cycle operations.

• Experience in automating profitability reporting at the market or business-unit level is preferred.

• Familiarity with NetSuite planning, budgeting, analytics, and reporting functionalities; knowledge of BILL (Bill.com) and third-party integrations is preferred.

• CPA or MBA is preferred.
