Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering, SMP/E

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute systems programming for IBM z/OS / MVS.

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for software utilizing SMP/E.

• Install and manage mainframe software applications.

• Utilize JCL and ISPF/TSO effectively.

• Offer support for VTAM and TCP/IP protocols.

• Collaborate with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Design and maintain the infrastructure and architecture of mainframe systems.

• Employ BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Deliver technical leadership while overseeing projects/programs and facilitating communication with stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with IBM z/OS / MVS Systems Programming.

• Proficient in SMP/E for software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support.

• Experience in the installation and administration of mainframe software.

• Proficient with JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Familiarity with VTAM and TCP/IP protocols.

• Experience working with IBM Connect.

• Knowledge of CA Session Manager and CA Spool.

• Understanding of mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design principles.

• Familiarity with BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Proven skills in technical leadership, project/program management, and effective stakeholder communication.
