Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering, SMP/E

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute systems programming for IBM z/OS / MVS.

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for software utilizing SMP/E.

• Oversee the installation and administration of mainframe software.

• Utilize JCL and ISPF/TSO effectively.

• Manage or assist with VTAM and TCP/IP protocols.

• Collaborate with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Support the infrastructure, architecture, and design of mainframe systems.

• Employ BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Provide technical guidance and engage in project/program management and communication with stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming.

• Proficient in SMP/E for software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support.

• Familiarity with mainframe software installation and administration.

• Experience with JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Knowledgeable in VTAM and TCP/IP.

• Proficient with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Understanding of mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design.

• Experience with BMC AMI tools such as AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Capable of providing technical leadership, project/program management, and effective stakeholder communication.
