Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Secure, enhance, and expand the foundational platform infrastructure.

• Address and resolve high-severity platform vulnerabilities.

• Create fortified, CVE-near-free container base images throughout build and distribution pipelines.

• Manage and scale Kubernetes platforms effectively.

• Utilize Kyverno policies to implement admission control, uphold security standards, and govern the cluster.

• Design and sustain highly available platform authentication utilizing knowledge of Keycloak and IdentityServer.

• Automate repetitive BAU tasks through AI.

• Develop platform tooling using Python, Go, Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, and Ansible.

• Oversee AWS infrastructure operations, with GCP serving as a secondary cloud.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Engage in an on-call rotation for incident response.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated production experience with Docker.

• Proven experience in Kubernetes platform operations.

• Familiarity with container hardening techniques.

• Experience with policy-as-code engines, including Kyverno.

• Skilled in writing tooling with Python and Go.

• Practical experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible.

• Experience in CI/CD processes using GitHub Workflows and ArgoCD.

• Strong foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services.

• Proven experience with ECS, EKS, IAM, and Security Hub.

• Practical knowledge of implementing and maintaining authentication services like Keycloak or IdentityServer.

• Solid troubleshooting skills in a Linux environment.

• Hands-on experience managing workflows for vulnerability remediation and minimal-CVE image pipelines.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving.

• A strong interest in utilizing AI to optimize workflows.

• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
