Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop the platform utilized by all teams at ElevenLabs.

• Manage the infrastructure that supports GPU clusters for training and serving AI models, as well as the cloud platform utilized by product teams.

• Collaborate closely with research, product, security, and safety engineers.

• Implement new infrastructure and scale it to accommodate the growing needs of the team.

• Spearhead migrations and enhancements to the platform to boost reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters, including GPU clusters for both inference and training, in cloud and on-premises settings.

• Establish compute, networking, permissions, and access for other teams.

• Host and manage data systems that are used by product teams.

• Develop tools, automations, and services that enable self-service infrastructure, primarily using Python.

• Oversee significant initiatives such as cluster constructions and cloud migrations from start to finish.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in a production environment at scale.

• Proficient experience with GCP, including the design, construction, and migration of cloud infrastructure end to end as an individual contributor.

• Strong Python programming skills with a focus on addressing infrastructure challenges through coding and automation.

• Experience in operating stateful systems, such as databases and Kafka, for other engineering teams.

• Solid understanding of infrastructure as code, security, and permissions.

• Practical ability to prioritize critical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
