Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming tasks

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for software using SMP/E

• Install and manage mainframe software

• Utilize JCL and ISPF/TSO for various operations

• Support VTAM and TCP/IP connectivity

• Work with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool software

• Contribute to the infrastructure, architecture, and design of mainframe systems

• Utilize BMC AMI tools including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management

• Provide technical leadership and oversee projects/programs

• Engage in communication with stakeholders

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming

• Proficient in SMP/E software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support

• Background in mainframe software installation and administration

• Familiarity with JCL and ISPF/TSO

• Experience with VTAM and TCP/IP

• Knowledge of IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool

• Understanding of mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design

• Hands-on experience with BMC AMI tools such as AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management

• Skills in technical leadership, project/program management, and effective stakeholder communication
