Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Perform stress testing on systems utilizing chaos engineering and load testing methodologies.

• Develop and implement an AI Harness throughout the engineering team to enhance shipping, code review, and debugging processes.

• Create a comprehensive regional disaster-recovery failover to ensure system functionality during cloud-region outages.

• Deliver features from start to finish and provide ongoing support in a production environment.

• Independently investigate and resolve production issues.

• Conduct market research and execute technical spikes to investigate potential solutions.

• Deploy updates to production on a daily basis and refine based on actual usage insights.

• Collaborate across backend, frontend, and infrastructure to enhance customer experiences.

• Engage in interviews, complete take-home assessments, and participate in the code review process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering real code to users.

• Strong writing skills with a focus on written communication in an asynchronous work environment.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.

• Expected to engage with users to ascertain development needs.

• Willingness or capability to work across backend, frontend, and infrastructure domains.

• Familiarity with or eagerness to learn technologies within the specified stack, including Node.js, DynamoDB, Redis, Vitest, Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, Astro, Testing Library, Playwright, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Honeycomb, OpenTelemetry, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, GitHub, Slack, Notion, and Figma.

• Ability to complete a take-home task lasting 2 to 4 hours.
