This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Oversee, optimize, and secure essential Linux operating systems within both production and non-production settings.
• Spearhead infrastructure configuration management and continuous deployment processes utilizing Infrastructure as Code, incorporating tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code in Python, Bash, or Go to automate repetitive operational tasks and integrate infrastructure telemetry.
• Administer Linux Naming Services, including LDAP/SSSD, along with managing networked storage solutions such as NFS and Autofs.
• Architect, implement, and sustain enterprise-level Linux environments across RPM-based distributions.
• Propel automation efforts and create robust tools for a highly available and scalable EDA compute-farm infrastructure.
• A minimum of 8 years of extensive systems engineering experience with RPM-based Linux distributions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven history of automating comprehensive multi-tier infrastructure configurations and managing centralized deployments.
• In-depth knowledge of virtualization and container internals, including Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and MicroVMs.
• Capability to design and construct scalable container infrastructure from the ground up, including registry management, custom image creation, and layer optimization.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language: Python, Bash, or Go.
• Comprehensive operational understanding of OSI layers, TCP socket states, MTU optimization, packet captures, tcpdump, Wireshark, and contemporary physical or software-defined networking (SDN).
• Familiarity with multiple configuration management systems is advantageous.
• Experience with CI/CD integration pipelines such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins is a plus.
• Relevant industry certifications such as RHCE or CKA are beneficial.
• Demonstrated experience managing GCP and AWS compute services.
• Experience utilizing LLMs to build and manage infrastructure is a plus.
• Previous experience supporting EDA toolchains such as Synopsys or Cadence and high-performance compute clusters; familiarity with LSF and Slurm environments is advantageous.
