Senior Linguist, Hebrew

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Conduct copy-editing tasks for designated projects or accounts

• Execute translation tasks as needed

• Act as the primary linguist for assigned accounts

• Manage deliveries translated both internally and by external partners into the target language

• Prepare, oversee, and maintain linguistic materials such as glossaries, style guides, and work instructions

• Handle project-related inquiries

• Foster communication among team members and address terminology and language issues

• Collaborate with freelancers, agencies, and internal linguists

• Evaluate and qualify new freelancers and vendors

• Develop and mentor internal linguists as well as new and current freelancers

• Engage with clients on language-related topics

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of working processes and suggest improvements

• Meet or surpass productivity, on-time delivery, and quality KPIs

• Accomplish goals set by the team manager

⛳️ Requirements

• University degree in Translation/Applied Languages/Linguistic Studies or a comparable combination of education and experience (university degree in another field plus 2 years of full-time translation experience, or 5 years of full-time professional translation experience)

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken

• Native proficiency in the target language

• Over 8 years of relevant experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing

• At least 5 years of review experience

• Comprehensive understanding of the localization process

• Strong knowledge of terminology across diverse subject areas

• Subject-matter expertise relevant to the company's assigned content specializations, service lines, and processes

• Proficient user of standard CAT tools such as XTM and SDL Studio

• Familiarity with issue-tracking and query-management tools like JIRA

• Quick to learn new localization tools and applications

• Proficient in standard software such as Windows and Office applications

• Capable of providing clear, concise, and constructive feedback

• Skilled in coordinating both internal and external translators

• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities

• Willingness and ability to train/teach others and share knowledge

• Capable of working under tight deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Able to present information effectively and answer questions from managers, clients, and linguists

• Experience and comfort in communicating with customers at various levels

• Skilled in resolving practical problems and managing varied concrete situations with limited standardization

• Ability to collaborate in a virtual team
