Linguist – French

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Luxembourg.

📋 Description

• Translate content between English and French while maintaining cultural nuances and clarity.

• Edit and enhance language content for accuracy, tone, and contextual appropriateness across digital platforms.

• Implement current language standards, usage trends, and best practices.

• Assess and provide structured feedback to enhance the quality of language models.

• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to adapt content for French-speaking markets.

• Assist in content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• Creatively modify text beyond the source material when transcreation is necessary.

• Complete onboarding procedures, including an application form and payment setup, following selection and testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in French.

• A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR

• A graduate qualification in a different field along with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR

• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Capability to adhere to terminology and reference materials accurately.

• Dependable availability and commitment.

• Most tasks necessitate a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.

• An updated CV in English.

• Ability to complete a domain-specific test if necessary.

• Must reside in Luxembourg, as specified by the job location and residency requirement.

• Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations.

• Cannot engage contractors located in regions subject to international embargo or sanctions.
