Linguist – Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Convert content between English and the native language while maintaining cultural sensitivity and clarity.

• Review and enhance language content for accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance across various digital platforms.

• Implement current language standards, usage trends, and best practices.

• Assess and provide structured feedback to enhance the quality of language models.

• Work collaboratively with Production and cross-functional teams to adapt content for Spanish-speaking markets.

• Assist in content creation, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• Creatively modify text beyond the source when transcreation is necessary.

• Complete the onboarding process and payment setup upon selection and after any required testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in the target language(s).

• A graduate degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR

• A graduate degree in another field along with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR

• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Ability to adhere to terminology and reference materials accurately.

• Spanish is the target/native language for this position (es-CO).

• Consistent availability and dedication; most assignments require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.

• An updated CV in English.

• Capability to complete a domain-specific test if necessary.

• Contractors must not be located in regions affected by international embargo or sanctions.

• Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations.
