Linguist – Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Panama.

📋 Description

• Translate content between English and the native language while maintaining cultural nuances and clarity.

• Edit and enhance language content to ensure accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms.

• Implement current language standards, usage trends, and best practices.

• Assess and offer structured feedback to enhance the quality of language models.

• Work collaboratively with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for language-specific markets.

• Assist in content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.

• Creatively modify text beyond the source when transcreation is necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in the target language(s).

• Graduate degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR

• Graduate degree in another discipline along with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR

• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

• Capability to adhere to terminology and reference materials accurately.

• Dependable availability and dedication to timely delivery.

• Most tasks necessitate a minimum commitment of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.

• An updated CV in English is required.

• Spanish must be the candidate's native language.

• Geographic restrictions may apply due to international embargoes or sanctions.

• Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations.
