Senior Lead, Fund Administration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Supervise the accounting and administrative functions of intricate private equity, closed-end, and alternative investment fund structures.

• Evaluate and authorize fund-level financial reporting packages, investor capital statements, and audited financial reports.

• Direct year-end reporting and audit processes, acting as the main point of contact for auditors, clients, and other external parties.

• Conduct and review carried interest, waterfall allocation, management fee, capital call, and distribution calculations.

• Provide leadership, technical expertise, and manage client relationships.

• Assist with onboarding, process enhancements, and system upgrades.

• Ensure precise accounting, reporting, and operational support throughout the fund's lifecycle.

• Aid clients in fulfilling investor, regulatory, and audit obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in private equity fund accounting, fund administration, or alternative investment accounting with direct responsibility for fund-level accounting and financial reporting.

• Proven knowledge of private equity fund structures, partnership accounting, investor allocations, capital activities, carried interest calculations, and waterfall methodologies.

• Experience in managing year-end financial statement preparation, external audits, and reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.

• Advanced skills in fund accounting platforms such as Investran, Geneva, or comparable fund administration systems.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience supporting various private equity fund strategies, including buyout, growth equity, venture capital, or real assets funds.

• Background in leading system implementations, accounting platform enhancements, or operational transformation projects.
