This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Take full responsibility for 1st-party property losses without any limit and have the authority to settle up to $250,000 for structural damage.
• Assess personal property losses related to dwelling claims.
• Manage claims up to policy limits for all 1st-party coverages, including handling desk claims as necessary.
• Lead loss investigations and coordinate efforts with representatives from SIU, Subrogation, Bureau Litigation, and the Claims Coverage Question Unit.
• Make recommendations to management regarding complex loss cases.
• Collaborate with insureds, contractors, public adjusters, and attorneys to resolve intricate claims effectively.
• Create structural repair estimates using Xactimate software.
• Manage claims across various states while understanding relevant laws and regulations.
• Evaluate building damage, determine the scope of repairs, and prepare estimates for home rebuilding.
• Negotiate repair costs with insureds, contractors, engineers, and public adjusters.
• Consult with external legal counsel on complex coverage matters.
• Respond to catastrophe situations outside the usual work area as necessary.
• Travel as required for divisional/team meetings and other in-person gatherings.
• Promote company culture through participation in employee resource groups, mentoring, volunteering, and cross-functional projects.
• Meet business needs by dedicating extra time and assisting other teams.
• 5-10 years of experience in claims, preferably with a focus on Homeowner field claims.
• 3+ years of experience managing Homeowner Total Loss claims.
• High School diploma (HS) or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Xactimate or a similar estimating system; experience with large estimates is highly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of the home repair process.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, customer service, and negotiation abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a good insurable driving record.
• Capability to obtain a DOI adjusting license in required states.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely.
• CSAA does not sponsor visas; applicants must not need immigration support.
