Senior Kinaxis Engineer, Application Development and Maintenance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead the IT strategy for global planning applications, such as Kinaxis, Talend, and MDP.

• Comprehend the functional and technical capabilities of planning applications, user requirements, and business workflows.

• Oversee the deployment of project deliverables and enhancement requests.

• Engage in project activities and advocate for planning applications from both functional and development viewpoints.

• Foster collaborative relationships with Planning IT and Kinaxis COE teams.

• Collect end-user enhancement requirements and formulate standardized, harmonized requirements.

• Manage, document, escalate, and resolve issues effectively.

• Create and implement resources for Kinaxis and integration tools related to project and operational enhancements.

• Design and conduct training sessions for COE and IT team members.

• Document testing outcomes and solutions while supporting change management initiatives.

• Coordinate testing, data validation, and planner data entry during deployments.

• Anticipate business and system requirements and initiate activities to address gaps.

• Provide technical oversight and guidance to Planning IT and Kinaxis COE teams.

• Serve as a mentor to less experienced team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with Kinaxis Maestro, both functionally and in development.

• Required experience in integration tool development (Talend, MDP, or others).

• Essential knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, inventory, and associated business processes.

• Preferred 8-12 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

• Preferred skills in relational databases and SQL; experience with Oracle or Access databases is a plus.

• Preferred data analysis and scripting capabilities.

• Preferred proficiency in Linux/Unix.

• Preferred experience with SAP APO, ECC, or S4.

• Ability to understand complex issues with incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous information.

• Capacity to guide stakeholders towards a shared objective and mediate decisions.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Capability to work independently in an international environment.
