This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +7 more states.
• Oversee sales and account management functions for designated locations and key accounts.
• Establish and execute sales strategies to meet booking, revenue, and business objectives.
• Direct sales and account management for Life Science Electron Microscopy products targeting Pharma and Biotech sectors, including assigned Global Key Accounts.
• Address and resolve issues related to sales.
• Develop, align, and implement account strategies for both assigned global key accounts and regional accounts.
• Keep precise quarterly booking forecasts and provide regular updates to management.
• Gain insights into customer budget challenges and take strategic actions to address them.
• Verify system configurations, specifications, and acceptance criteria to finalize orders.
• Cultivate a professional network within the pharma/biotech industry to connect with new customers and accounts.
• Oversee product user-group initiatives.
• Conduct system demonstrations alongside application engineers and product marketing managers.
• Administer the sales booking process.
• Handle field product issues in collaboration with Account Service and application engineers.
• Collaborate with Field Service to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Engage in continuous education to stay updated on advancements in the field.
• Manage and expand assigned key accounts among the Top 30 Pharma companies.
• Bachelor’s degree from a university, preferably in Life Science, Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Physics, or Engineering.
• A minimum of 8 years of sales experience in high-value capital equipment or complex sales is highly preferred.
• Exceptional negotiation skills.
• Outstanding, enthusiastic, and clear communication skills tailored to a diverse audience.
• Systematic problem-solving capabilities through collaboration with customers and the account team.
• Proficient presentation skills and the ability to create materials for both internal and external audiences.
• Capacity to work independently while also cooperating effectively within an account team.
• Ability to perform and execute tasks in a highly matrixed environment with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and factories both locally and internationally (50% or more).
• Experience with Miller-Heiman strategic and conceptual selling is highly desirable.
• Background in the drug discovery sector within the pharma/biotech industry.
• Familiarity or experience with the top 30 Biopharma companies.
• Experience managing large, global, multi-site customers, preferably utilizing the Miller-Heiman LAMP process.
• Project management abilities.
• General understanding of electron microscopy, ideally with knowledge of EM applications in structural biology and drug discovery.
