📋 Description

• Evaluate writing generated by AI for aspects such as clarity, accuracy, tone, structure, and overall editorial quality.

• Determine if the content adheres to the standards of professional publications and newsrooms.

• Spot weak framing, unclear reasoning, structural issues, factual inaccuracies, and stylistic inconsistencies.

• Differentiate between polished writing and content that appears fluent but lacks editorial strength.

• Produce high-quality reference materials suitable for various editorial contexts.

• Create clear, engaging, well-structured content that demonstrates strong storytelling and an understanding of the audience.

• Edit and revise content to enhance clarity, precision, flow, and overall effectiveness.

• Correct issues related to grammar, syntax, terminology, organization, and style.

• Improve headlines, leads, transitions, argument structure, and narrative coherence.

• Conduct research and fact-check claims, sources, and supporting evidence.

• Identify unsupported claims, inconsistencies, factual errors, and misleading framing.

• Deliver detailed, actionable editorial feedback.

• Contribute to defining and refining standards for high-quality writing produced by AI.

• Utilize AP style or similar editorial guidelines.

• Ensure consistent evaluation standards across different assignments.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a journalist, writer, editor, or a similar editorial role at a recognized publication.

• Relevant professional experience should include a portion gained within the last 7 years.

• Exceptional proficiency in written English.

• Strong skills in professional editing and copyediting.

• Proven experience in research and fact-checking processes.

• Strong storytelling abilities, structural understanding, and editorial judgment.

• Familiarity with AP style or similar professional editorial standards.

• Capability to provide detailed and constructive editorial feedback.

• Keen attention to accuracy, nuance, language, and presentation.

• An undergraduate degree from a highly regarded university is preferred.

• Preference for candidates based in English-speaking countries.

• Must complete tasks without utilizing any confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, publication, institution, or third party.
