Certified Reporter, Scopist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough reviews and proofreading of legal transcripts to ensure accuracy, proper grammar, punctuation, and formatting in line with Esquire’s style guidelines.

• Cross-check transcript content with audio recordings to guarantee a precise and error-free record.

• Finalize transcripts by applying digital signatures and overseeing their submission for production.

• Ensure effective file archival and complete necessary reporting and logs.

• Organize and prioritize workload to adhere to deadlines while managing any changes.

• Assist service partner programs through prompt communication and quality assurance measures.

• Embody and promote Esquire’s values in everyday tasks and team interactions.

• Consistently generate accurate and high-quality transcripts.

• Achieve or surpass transcript deadlines without sacrificing quality.

• Maintain professional communication with reporters, clients, and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold and maintain a current Texas Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) license.

• Achieve a minimum touch-typing speed of 70 words per minute with a high level of accuracy.

• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.

• Exhibit strong organizational and communication capabilities.

• Possess problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Be proficient in CAT software editing tools and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Have familiarity with digital transcript workflows and archival processes.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and a client-first approach.
