Senior Javascript Developer, React.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and develop resilient, scalable web applications utilizing React.js and Next.js.

• Take ownership of significant features from initial technical design through to deployment.

• Enhance frontend performance by implementing server-side rendering, static generation, bundle-size optimization, Core Web Vitals, and caching strategies.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create and implement features that boost user engagement.

• Elevate code quality through rigorous code reviews, refactoring, testing practices, and addressing technical debt.

• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers to enhance the team's frontend skills.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest web development technologies and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in creating production web applications using JavaScript.

• More than 5 years of professional experience with React.js.

• Practical experience with Next.js, including server-side rendering, static generation, and routing.

• Strong knowledge of functional components, hooks, state management, context, memoization, rendering behavior, and lifecycle methods.

• Proficient in ES6+, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Redux or similar state-management libraries.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and integrating REST-based third-party APIs.

• Familiarity with frontend performance optimization, debugging, and browser testing.

• Experience with modern build tools such as Webpack or Babel and frontend deployment processes.

• Proven track record in leading code reviews, refactoring legacy code, and enhancing engineering standards.

• Ability to independently analyze, clarify, and define requirements.

• High attention to detail and strong visualization skills in UI/UX.

• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Google Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, SEO for server-rendered applications, component libraries, design systems, monorepo tooling, automated testing, feature flagging, progressive rollouts, and experience with asynchronous or distributed teams, mentoring, and technical initiative leadership.

• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to question and be questioned.
