Senior Javascript Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain scalable web applications utilizing contemporary JavaScript technologies.

• Develop and uphold high-quality frontend and backend functionalities.

• Convert product requirements and designs into dependable, maintainable software.

• Create reusable components and services while adhering to modern development best practices.

• Integrate RESTful APIs along with third-party services.

• Produce clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code.

• Develop and manage automated tests to guarantee software quality and reliability.

• Diagnose, debug, and rectify application issues.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.

• Enhance application performance, scalability, and responsiveness.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and fellow developers.

• Contribute to technical architecture and development choices.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, planning, and estimation.

• Mentor junior and mid-level developers as necessary.

• Remain up-to-date with modern JavaScript frameworks, libraries, and development practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience.

• Significant hands-on experience with JavaScript and current JavaScript standards.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.

• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework, such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Thorough understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.

• Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with Node.js and backend JavaScript development.

• Strong grasp of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.

• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases.

• Proficient in writing unit and integration tests.

• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and principles of clean code.

• Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD development workflows.

• Experience in debugging and optimizing production applications.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Must be located in Latam.

• Nice to Have: Experience with React and Node.js; Next.js or other modern fullstack frameworks; AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker and containerized applications; microservices and distributed systems; GraphQL; Jest, Cypress, or Playwright; AI/LLM integrations or AI-assisted development tools; mentoring or leading developers.
